making things better

A better office

January 20th, 2010 · 4 Comments · Better design, Better work

My commute takes a total of 2.5 hours a day.  I’m making good use of the time by taking the bus, and working on the road, but it’s still a long time to be driving. I do work from home one day a week, but I still haven’t found the perfect “home office environment;” until now.

A company called OfficePOD is building beautiful, self-contained “work pods” that you can stick in your backyard.  It’s time to skip the commute.

    hahahah,

I am pretty sure I would be exiled if I ever set something like that up in my city!

Well, you could always put up some moose antlers; that would make it acceptable in DC, wouldn’t it?

Perhaps. Or maybe if I had a gun rack inside.

I dig it. I love reading the pages of Dwell to get ideas for the modern office. If it can’t be in my backyard – which I now have, yeh! – then I would love to make mine more aethetically pleasing. But I have a hard enough time even keeping it organized. So not zen.

    I like that Office Pod.
